Our Story

Bruce A. Hagen started practicing law in 1986 and founded his own law practice in 1992 with a commitment to personal injury law. Starting with a small team including Helene “Grandma” Hagen, Bruce built his firm with integrity, respect for his clients and their cases and with a genuine concern for the wellbeing of his clients and team members.

In 2003, the firm moved into The Marble House, a historic building in downtown Decatur, Georgia built in 1885. Originally owned by Edwin Ansley and later home to boarding students from Agnes Scott College.

As the firm expanded, Bruce and his associates focused on personal injury litigation acquiring ample courtroom and trial experience earning the prestigious distinction of Atlanta’s Super Lawyers. In 2010, Bruce helped to create a legal team in a class-action lawsuit to investigate the NFL’s concussion oversights and the rights of former NFL players. Bruce is among the first lawyers in the country to sue the NFL over injuries caused by CTE.

Partnering with Ken A. Rosskopf, “the dean” of bicycling in Atlanta, Hagen Rosskopf, LLC. became the leading personal injury law firm for bicyclists and e-scooter riders. Bruce and Ken are avid bicyclists and passionate activists for safer streets for car drivers and bicyclists.

Being a part of the community has been a focus since the beginning by sponsoring and coaching the Sandy Springs Youth Football Association to thriving advocacy work in Georgia legislation for better laws for bicycling. Bruce enjoys speaking to middle schoolers, training police departments, attending City Hall meetings, and sponsoring community events. The law firm participates at every Atlanta Streets Alive event since 2015.

To date, the attorneys at Hagen Rosskopf have represented thousands of clients in personal injury claims, won hundreds of trials in Magistrate and State Courts all over Georgia and have a history of verdicts that have changed their client’s lives. Some team members have been serving clients with Bruce Hagen for almost 20 years. Most of the client base are returning clients or referrals from clients who were treated with respect and compassion. Bruce Hagen has successfully created a client-centric, family-oriented, boutique law firm in a city that is saturated with legal advertising.
